Rhodes College remains true to its Masonic roots, encouraging students to maximize their education by presenting a balanced mixture of challenging programs and coursework with socially enriching events and organizations. In fact, by 1917, the school had been chartered as three different names including Southwestern Presbyterian University before it became officially known as Rhodes College in 1984.
