Randolph College was developed as the Randolph-Macon Women’s College, only becoming a coeducational liberal arts college in 1893. Built with the aspirations to help mold students into proper adults and citizens, both mentally and spiritually – Randolph College conveyed these values through liberal arts. Even in 1830, the Methodist founders believed that providing students with a strong and supportive environment where they could grow freely would help them broaden their perspectives, tap into their creative minds and potentially raise future ethical leaders.
