Admissions Requirements

General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions

In addition to the online application, prospective students are also required to submit the following for consideration:

  • (1) Official high school transcripts.
  • (2) Official SAT and/or ACT test results.
  • (3) Personal statement or essay (may be included under the “Additional Information” section of the application).
  • (4) Letters of recommendation if desired.

Students who have a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale may opt out of submitting standardized test results. There is no minimum required GPA for admission to Roanoke College. However, students who meet minimum GPA requirements may be eligible for merit scholarships.
