General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions

Students applying to Lake Forest College should have some advanced coursework on their high school transcripts. They should have completed at least four years of English, two years of foreign language and three years of math, natural sciences and social sciences at the secondary level. Consistency in grades from freshman to senior year will help you stand out.

You aren’t required to submit your SAT or ACT test scores, but you’re encouraged to schedule a school interview if you choose not to submit scores. One letter of recommendation is required, and it must come from a school counselor or teacher. You have the option of submitting a second letter from a sports coach or another school representative.
