Admissions Requirements

General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions

The average admitting GPA at Cal Lutheran is 3.7. Successful applicants will have high school transcripts that reflect a college-prep education including at least four years of English, three years of math and two years of social studies, lab science and foreign language. Four years of math and three years of lab science are preferred.

The application process also requires you to submit SAT or ACT scores along with an essay, personal statement and letter of recommendation from a high school teacher. Co-curricular activities, maturity levels and a strong sense of purpose and initiative are considered in addition to test scores and grades.
