Davidson College bears a strong resemblance to the architecture of the 1800s with its picturesque campus. Named after Brigadier General William Lee Davidson, the school is home to only 1,900 students. Davidson College is an extremely selective school.

University of North Carolina – Asheville has a beautiful campus in North Carolina that is home to around 3000 students but on an average, each class has only 19 students. This ensures that every student gets their deserved attention. This college only became a liberal arts college in 1992. The school promotes the involvement in co-curricular activities with over 60 clubs and organizations and has a moderate acceptance rate.
Warren Wilson College, located in Swannanoa, NC, has a relatively high acceptance rate. For graduation, each student has to engage in 100 hours of community service. Courses like Outdoor Leadership and Appalachian Studies are what set this school apart. The 800 odd students work in different fields like landscaping in order to finance their education, while helping the environment. 75 percent of Warren Wilson graduates are employed within six months of graduation.
