Purposeful direction. Practical knowledge. Professional skills.
It is known as the Albion Advantage.
The Albion Advantage is a comprehensive approach designed to help students succeed in their studies, career, and in life. It’s Albion’s commitment to your long term success.
The Learning Foundation
Albion believes a solid foundation in the liberal arts is the best preparation for your long term career, and they provide you with all the resources and opportunities you’ll need to make your 4 years an outstanding experience. You will get the knowledge and experiences today that tomorrow will require.
The Albion experience will take you further (and farther) than you ever imagined: off-campus, into the field, across the country, and around the globe. Because Albion believes the best way to get ready for the real world is to actually experience it; to build skills, become engaged, connected and more confident.
Real World Experience
Whichever path you choose to pursue, you’ll participate in at least one internship while you’re here. Some of our success stories include:
- A physics major who sought to do research with a female mentor;
- an athletic training major who worked with the Cleveland Browns;
- a communication studies major who won a spot in the Disney World internship program; and
- a Gerstacker Institute member who gained insight with the recruiting firm.
Far and Wide
You can choose from more than 100 programs in 40 countries on six continents (including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and Latin America)
Majors and Research
Each student must complete one major to graduate from Albion College. In the case of concentrations, teacher certification, or pre-professional programs, a student must also complete a designated major. And for the extra motivated student, minors and double-majors are also available.
You’ll come to Albion with big questions and they have the resource you need to find the answers. You’ll investigate, explore and create. It is a hands-on expereince that is designed by you.
Beyond campus, you may also follow your interest with research programs at places like the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee and the Newberry Library in Chicago.
