Admissions Requirements

General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions

Along with the application and application fee, prospective students to Gettysburg College are required to submit the following information:

  • (1) Official high school transcripts
  • (2) Letter of recommendation from one high school instructor
  • (3) Letter of recommendation from high school guidance counselor
  • (4) Mid-year grade report for grade 12; and (5) Official results from ACT or SAT exams.

Gettysburg College is a test-optional college. If applicants intend to apply without official test scores, it must be indicated on the application that they choose to opt out. Any admissions candidate who wishes to be considered for academic merit scholarships is required to submit official SAT or ACT scores with their application.
