Admissions Requirements

General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions

Applicants must submit SAT or ACT results, as well as an application essay. The student’s GPA is recalculated using a 4.0 unweighted scale, including only core academic courses. The applicant’s extra curricular pursuits are considered.

A letter of recommendation from a core subject teacher from junior or senior year is required. Applicants should have completed the following required coursework:

  • Four years of English
  • Four years of Mathematics
  • Two years of Social Sciences
  • Two years of Natural Sciences, both including laboratory experience
  • Two years of Foreign Language, both of the same language
  • Some study of the Arts
  • Advanced, Honors, AP or IB courses are also highly recommended.
