Admissions Requirements

General Recommendations & Requirements for Admissions

Bucknell accepts the Common Application online. There is no essay requirement. Students will need to apply for financial aid, including merit scholarships, at the same time.

Bucknell looks for students with strong academic backgrounds and community involvement. Students will need to decide on a major and determine which of the colleges to apply to; engineering students have somewhat more strenuous requirements in math and sciences than other majors. All students are expected to have at least two years of college-preparatory classes in Math, English, Science and foreign languages.
